    Yes, I noticed that also. I am not sure if it is because of the PID/TID settings I have set in hpt or because Magicka adds its own origin line.

    Default charset set to utf-8. Looks ok to me.

    I'd love it if UTF-8 were the default character set for all of Fidonet. But the reality is that it isn't. It did not look OK here until I manually forced UTF-8.

    You shouldn't have had to as the original message had the appropriate CHRS control line/paragraph/kludge:

    It may have been inserted on your end. There was no CHRS in that message. Check the .PKT ...
